A New Chapter: Embracing Change and Growth

 Change is a natural part of life, and I’m embracing it wholeheartedly as I transition from WGU to Capella University to continue my journey toward becoming a counselor. While I’m incredibly grateful for my time at WGU and everything I learned there, I’m beyond excited to start this new chapter at Capella, where I’ll be finishing my bachelor’s degree and continuing straight into my master’s program.

This year is a year of firsts. I’m embracing turning 30 and stepping into this new decade with excitement, ambition, and a determination to live my life to the fullest. There’s something so powerful about hitting this milestone—it’s a time for growth, for stepping into who I truly am, and for pursuing my goals with confidence. I’ve spent my twenties building the foundation for the life I want, and now, I get to step forward and fully embrace the path I’ve worked so hard to create.

This blog will continue to be a space for personal updates, goal-setting, and, most importantly, a place to inspire and encourage others. I want to take a moment to express my deepest gratitude to everyone who has supported me along the way. A special thank you goes to my husband, who stands by my side, cheering me on and ensuring that I have the opportunity to pursue my dreams. His unwavering support means the world to me.

This year is shaping up to be an incredible one, filled with new experiences and opportunities for growth. In June, I’ll be taking a brief pause from my studies to travel for my current role as a floral designer, wedding specialist, and assistant manager at Lake Worth Florist. My team and I are heading to Italy for a week-long class with the Wildflower School, followed by an adventure through other parts of Italy and Switzerland. I can’t wait to immerse myself in this experience, learn, and bring back fresh inspiration!

While this wasn’t the exact path I originally envisioned, I’ve learned that dreams, goals, and ambition can shift with the changing winds—and that’s okay. Growth comes from embracing new opportunities, and I’m ready for all that this year has in store.
