A Week of Magic, Flowers, and… A Bit of Chaos
This week has been a whirlwind but in the best way! I had an absolute blast prepping for Cover Shoot #3 for my friend’s magazine, Romantasy Illustrated. She’s featuring me for my floral work, which is an honor, and since I’m a huge fantasy and book lover, the interview will be filled with all that goodness, too.
I arrived at the venue early this morning to help set up and get everything in place. I was also the first model to arrive, which meant I had my incredibly talented friend and photographer all to myself for an hour before the others showed up. We got some amazing shots—both group and detailed floral shots—and I can’t wait to see how they turn out!
But here’s the plot twist… I’m sick. Again. I have no idea what’s going on with my immune system, but I felt absolutely awful during the entire shoot. Somehow, I powered through, but I’m currently curled up in bed while writing this, waiting on the flu/COVID test before I decide whether I’ll join the girls for dinner tonight. Fingers crossed, it’s nothing serious!
Oh, and here’s another exciting thing: Yesterday, a TV film crew from "The Last Cowboy Standing" was at the shop! I won’t spill too many details, but it will premiere in August with Season 2, and it was such a cool experience to be around the production.
Despite the rough ending (thank you, mystery illness), it’s been such an exciting and eventful week. Plus, I start my new school on Monday, so I’m really hoping I feel better by then.
I feel like this blog is shaping up to be a mix of life updates, mental health, marriage, and travel, and I’m excited to keep sharing with you all. Let me know if there’s anything specific you’d like me to write about!
Hope you all have a fantastic weekend!
